With a stoneware body and a Laguna blue glaze, Sierra Bravo is a ceramic pipe that elevates the smoking ritual through art and quality.
A hollow interior provides a large chamber for smoke, and the exterior is hand-finished for a smooth feel in the palm. The bowl of the pipe is hand-glazed for a non-porous, easy-to-clean surface.
Our pipes are fired in reduction, in a gas kiln at an extremely high fire temperature. The heat renders our pipes especially sturdy, and the reduction process creates an ever-changing array of finishes which make each piece truly one-of-a-kind.
Variations in color, shade, surface texture and size are natural characteristics of all our products and should be expected. Images shown are representative, but may not indicate all variations in these characteristics.
Measures approximately 2.5” by 4”. Responsibly made in California.
***Our ceramic pipes are intended for tobacco only. Pipes may require special handling and age-verification.***
No more dick shaped pipes at my house
I first noticed Alice and Sebastian at West Coast Craft 5 years ago with their simple beautiful smooth stone like objects sitting on the table. It took me a few years of lamenting and another totally charming meeting at their craft table and a fun contest for me to finally make the purchase. Miwak Jr. put a contest out asking to send in the reason you would purchase a Miwak pipe for your loved one. My reason? I was so tired of my husband's dick shaped green glass pipe laying around, very 1990s Haight street head shop. After that little fun contest where they were giving out a little discount of a treat; I bought him a Sierra Bravo. And now it is our favorite pipe in the whole world. Do some searches on artisan pipes and you will see Miwak Jr pops up with all of them and stands out in the crowd. In real life this pipe is an subtle show stopper when you pass it around your neighbor's backyard BBQ. The Bravo is smooth, and looks beautiful on the bathroom windowsill, or anywhere else pipes get left behind after sneak blowing out the window. It feels like a grown-up's pipe, and it makes us feel good to use and have laying around. Best of all it is a little useful sculpture made by nice people. I plan to always have one in my house for the rest of my life. Thank you Sebastian and Alice!
